Parking Lot Closures and Changes

Semester Parking Permits may be purchased online at Ohlone's PayMyCite website. The Ohlone College Bookstore does not sell Parking Permits.

Students must display a valid Semester Parking Permit or Daily Parking Permit to park on an Ohlone College campus.

Semester Parking Permits for Students

A valid Semester Parking Permit allows a student to park in one parking space, except restricted spaces. All parking permits are the property of the Ohlone Community College District.

A Semester Parking Permit:

  • is valid for parking at both the Fremont and Newark Center campuses
  • must be hung face-forward from the rear-view mirror for traffic enforcement personnel viewing

It is a violation of the Student Honor Code and a crime to give a Semester Parking Permit to another student.

Purchase a Semester Parking Permit

A Semester Parking Permit may be purchased (non-refundable) purchased online at Ohlone's PayMyCite website. A Semester Parking Permit is valid for the semester purchased.

Student Parking at Fremont Campus

With a valid Semester Parking Permit, a student may park in one parking space in:

  • lower-level Parking Lots D, E, G, H, or K
  • spaces marked for motorcycles in upper-level Staff Parking Lot W

except those spaces designated as Administration or Police/Emergency Vehicle.

A Semester Parking Permit is not valid to park in upper-level Parking Lot P (Disabled Parking only) ; for those lots, a Daily Parking Permit is required.

Staff Parking Lot W Motorcycle Parking Area

The motorcycle parking area in upper-level Staff Parking Lot W is open to student, staff, and visitor motorcycles with a valid Parking Permit.

Student Parking at Newark Campus

There are no designated Student Parking lots or spaces at the Newark Center. With a valid Semester Parking Permit, a student may park in:

  • Parking Lots B, C, or D

except those spaces designated as Administration or Police/Emergency Vehicle.

Parking Rules Summary

  • There is no free parking at any of the Ohlone Community College District campuses, except as noted in Parking Hours.
  • There is no grace period during the first few weeks of each semester. Parking rules are enforced from the first day of each semester through the last.
  • Parking is permitted only in designed areas and parking stalls.
  • Vehicles that are illegally parked and/or parked without a valid parking permit may be cited or towed.
  • All parking rules are enforced during instructional periods and on weekends when special events or classes are being held.

Under state law (Education Code 72247) all parking on a community college campus is subject to payment of a specified fee. It is a privilege extended by the Board of Trustees to the faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Parking Violations

A parking citation will be issued to violators of Ohlone College parking regulations.


Parking regulations are enforced by Ohlone College Campus Police Services / Safety and Security (CPS). Questions or concerns about parking at Ohlone College should be directed to CPS at (510) 659-6111 (Fremont) or (510) 742-2311 (Newark).
