Northern California Bay Area Biotechnology Center (NCBC)
The Northern California Bay Area Biotechnology Center (NCBC) serves to bridge the gap between education, job training, economic development, and employment advancement in the greater Northern California Bay Area region. The Center offers services targeting the needs of industry, educators, students, economic and workforce development agencies, and government.
The Center is one of four state biotechnology centers that integrate the California Biotechnology Initiative. The Center is funded by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and is hosted at Ohlone College.

The Center partners with biotechnology companies, secondary schools, colleges, universities, economic and workforce development agencies, education organizations, and trade associations to promote and support industry-specific education, training and services that contribute to a highly skilled and productive workforce. The Center promotes collaboration across all sectors of the bioscience industry represented in the Bay Area.
