Catalog Description:

This course offers a comparative study of contemporary
forms of governments, institutions and political problems
of selected national governments; i.e., Great Britain, France,
Germany and the Soviet Union. This course emphasizes
changing and emergent post-war governments.
 
Course Content:

1. Introduction to the general character of European governments.

2. Foundations of political power.

3. In depth study of Great Britain, her historical development as well as her modern governing structure.

4. In depth study of France, her historical development as well as her modern governing structure.

5. In depth study of Germany, her historical development as well as her modern governing structure.

6. In depth study of the Soviet Union, her historical development as well as her modern governing structure.

7. Discussion, examination, evaluation of the four countries as a whole as they relate to the American government.

8. Summary
