The Corps AA Degree Program
The Corps AA Degree Program is designed to help early childhood educators earn an Associated Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE). The AA Degree Program will offer individual support to help you create an education plan and earn your degree. The program will provide a stipend for meeting requirements and taking classes.
The program is currently available at Chabot College, Las Positas College, Merritt College and Ohlone College. Applications for the Corps AA Degree Program will be available in the spring, but you can complete your enrollment requirements now. Even if you’ve participated in other Corps programs, you will join this program as a first-time applicant. You will receive your first stipend for meeting program eligibility and completing your enrollment requirements.
Program Eligibility
- Work at least 15 hours per week with children birth to pre-kindergarten or an eligible AB212 school-age site in Alameda County and must have worked at the program for at least 9 months when you enroll in the Corps AA Degree Program
- If you have at least 6 ECE units, you must have a valid Child Development Permit; if you have less than 6 ECE units, a permit is not required
- Have not completed an AA Degree or higher in ECE
