The Ohlone College Early Childhood Studies Department presents the Annual Early Childhood Conference:

  • Held in the Ohlone Kidango Child Development Center, 43600 Mission Boulevard, Fremont, California
  • Topics include: Family Child Care, Infant-Toddler, Preschool, and School-Age Care; Working with Children with Challenging Behaviors; Curriculum; Child Health and much more

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be accepted until September 4, 2009 for a full refund less a $10 administrative fee. After that date no refund will be given but participant substitutions will be permitted through the registration period on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

 *  To get 1/2 unit of Ohlone College credit for the Early Childhood Studies conference:

  1. If you are a current Ohlone College student, you can register through WebAdvisor:
    • Log onto WebAdvisor.
    • Register for course number ECS-325A, use Synonym #042209, Fall 2009.

  2. All others must enroll at Ohlone College before registering for the course credit.
    • To enroll in the college, please complete the Ohlone College application (available online).
    • Students who are not U.S. citizens must verify their immigration status with the Office of Admissions & Records.  For this reason, non-citizens are asked to submit their application in person at the Office of Admissions & Records.  Students should be prepared to present a passport, permanent resident card or other documentation that will demonstrate their immigration status for the previous year.
    • Once you have enrolled at Ohlone College, you will be issued a Student ID Number.  The Office of Admissions & Records will send this to you by email within a couple of days after they have received your application.  When you have your Student ID Number, you can register for the course using WebAdvisor.  The directions are found in item 1.

  3. Once you have registered, you will need to pay the $13 enrollment fee for your ½ unit course credit.  You can do this online in WebAdvisor at the time you register, or in person at the Cashier’s Office on the Ohlone College Fremont campus. There will also be a $5 electronic access fee.

  4. Requires attendance at the Information Session from 4:30pm - 5:00pm on the conference date.
