English 101A Reading and Written Composition - English Learning Center
Catalog Description
This course focuses on reading and writing of expository and argumentative works and introduction to research skills and documentation to develop students’ ability to think critically and advocate ideas forcefully and accurately. Students will increase practical fluency by developing sentence, paragraph, thesis, and essay writing skills.
English 101A Lab
If your instructor assigned the Research Skills Booklet for your lab work:
- Buy at copy of the Research Skills Booklet from the Ohlone College Bookstore or download the Research Skills Booklet (PDF).
- If you are going to print the Research Skills Booklet in the English Learning Center, there is a charge for printing.
- Complete the required assignments found in the Research Skills Booklet.
- To check your answers, come to the:
- Fremont campus: English Learning Center, Room HH-217;
or - Newark campus: Newark English Learning Center, Room NC-1118, Learning Resources Center
- Fremont campus: English Learning Center, Room HH-217;
- All work must be turned in to your instructor.
