English 162 - English Learning Center

The English 162 Lab consists of two parts:

1. Connect Reading (work to be completed online only):

   • Purchase the Connect Reading registration code online (www.mhconnectenglish.com) or from the Ohlone College Bookstore
   • Go to www.mhconnectenglish.com
   • Click on First Time Registration
   • Enter the 20-digit registration code you purchased
   • Select Join a Class, then enter the class code in the space provided. The class code is the 6-digit synonym from the Ohlone College schedule of classes.
   • View the assigned activities by clicking proceed to contents. Complete all the activities by the due dates provided.

2. Lab Activities (work to be completed in the lab only):

   Before you start your lab work, read the student guidelines for the English 162 lab provided by your instructor.

   If your class is at the Fremont campus, 162 lab activities must be completed at the English Learning Center, Room HH-217. If your class is at the Newark campus, lab activities must be completed at the Newark English Learning Center, Room NC-1124, first floor, Wing 1, Learning Resource Center.

3. Lab Orientation - For further assistance with your 162 Lab, review the English 162 ELC Lab Orientation (audio and text provided).

4. Printing Guidelines - You are welcome to use the computers and printers in the English Learning Center to complete your assignments. For information on printing, please review the Pcounter WebPay presentation (PDF).
