Activity 1

Choose a newspaper in the library, at home, or online. Skim three articles: one from the front page, one from the editorial page, and one from the sports or entertainment page. Time yourself and limit yourself to four or five minutes for each article. As you skim try to pick up key words that suggest the general meaning of the article. When you finish each article, list ten (10) key words for each article on your response form.
