MetLife/Civic Ventures Community College Encore Careers Grant
Civic Ventures has approved a MetLife/Civic Ventures Community College Encore Career Grant to Ohlone College. This grant will support the Ohlone College implementation of an innovation to help attract, prepare or place adults 50+ in a new encore careers in education.
Through a Green Encore Fellowship program, the 50+ seasoned and experienced adults will receive specialized training they need to become green energy practitioners. These Green Encore Fellows will also be trained to work with economically disadvantaged, entrée level trainees as well as high school student interested in green career paths.
