Sandy Tsau Chen, Adjunct Faculty - Music Department

Sandy Tsau Chen joined Ohlone College in 2010 and is an Adjunct Instructor in music. Currently she teaches Beginning Class Piano, Applied piano lessons, Music Appreciation (online), and World Music (online). She has also served as accompanist for Class Voice.

Ms. Chen received a B.M. and M.A. in Piano Performance from San José State University under the tutelage of Dr. Gwendolyn Mok, where she graduated with summa cum laude honors. Between 2008-2010 Ms. Chen served as assistant teacher for Piano Pedagogy, Keyboard Proficiency, and Introduction to Music at San José State University.

Ms. Chen has had a passion for the fine arts her entire life. She also received a B.A. in Visual Arts from UC San Diego, where she focused on computing in the arts. Prior to pursuing her Master's Degree in music, Ms. Chen worked as a web/graphics designer and marketing communications manager. Today she enjoys teaching music to adults of different ages and backgrounds.
