About the ACCUPLACER Tests

See the Reading and Math Eligibility Requirements before taking the ACCUPLACER Test.

You must be a currently-enrolled student at Ohlone College before taking the ACCUPLACER Test.

Reading ACCUPLACER Test

If you have completed ENGL-163 or ENGL-167 with a grade of "C" or better, you do not need to take the Reading ACCUPLACER Test.

The ACCUPLACER Reading Assessment Test evaluates English Reading competency. Passing the English/Reading ACCUPLACER Test "clears" the Reading eligibility requirement (ENGL-163 or ENGL-167) for admission. Note, however, that passing the English ACCUPLACER Test does not clear the ENGL-101A or equivalent eligibility requirement.

Math ACCUPLACER Test

If you have completed MATH-153 or MATH-155 (Intermediate Algebra) or any higher level college math course with a grade of "C" or better, you do not need to take the Math ACCUPLACER Test.

Passing the ACCUPLACER Math Assessment Test "clears" the Math eligibility requirement (MATH-153 or MATH-155 or equivalent) for admission. If students have completed a college course in Intermediate Algebra or higher with a grade of "C" or higher, they do not need to take the Math ACCUPLACER Test.
