Important Message! All students, new or reapplying, must attend a mandatory nursing orientation.

Please note: All students must arrive promptly at 3:00pm and check in. You will not be permitted into the orientation without a photo ID. Orientation begins exactly at 3:30pm and no one will be admitted after the orientation begins. Due to limited seating, only prospective students will be allowed to attend. No guests, children, or strollers will be admitted.

Important Information Regarding 2010-2011 Nursing Admission Policy
In order to streamline the Registered Nursing Program admission policy, a change in the admission policy will take place effective with the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 school year. In order to be eligible to apply, prospective Nursing applicants must still meet all prerequisite requirements, attend the mandatory nursing orientation, take the ACCUPLACER Reading Assessment, see a nursing counselor and meet the 75% Chancellor’s Cut Score. All students who meet these requirements will be placed into the random selection “lottery” pool.
Those students accepted for the Fall semester will be notified by May. Those students who are accepted for the Spring semester will be notified by the end of September. No waitlist will be maintained beyond filling these two nursing classes. If a student is not selected for the Fall or Spring semester, their paperwork will be returned by the end of October.
