Course Description

This course is 3 units overall, with 2 units of lecture and 1 unit of lab. It is taught over the regular semester of 17.5 weeks.

This course is a continuation of Kinesiology I and deals with the biomechanical principles of the cervical, thoracic, and upper extremities. It includes the kinesiological functions of muscles and muscle groups. Clinical manifestations of muscle dysfunction are covered, as well as techniques for joint measurement. Assessment by manual muscle testing and activities of daily living are also covered.
