Course Description

This course is 2 units overall, with 1.5 units of lecture and 0.5 units of lab. It is taught in a compressed semester of 12 weeks.

PTA 108 deals with specific advanced physical therapy procedures which are employed in the physical therapy clinic; including paraffin bath, various types of electrical stimulation (TNS, microcurrent, interferential, premodulated, russian, galvanic, iontophoresis, and HFS), and various light spectrum modalities (ultraviolet and infrared), and electromyography for biofeedback.
