Robotics Curriculum

Draft Certificate of Achievement in Robotics

One of the long term goals of the Robotics Program is the development of a Certificate of Achievement in Robotics. This Certificate would be approved by the State of California Chancellor's Office and would allow students to receive credit for their work at Ohlone at four years colleges and universities.

Requirements

  1. Maintain a "C" (2.0) grade point average in the specified courses
  2. Complete satisfactorily a specific curriculum of recognized sequence of courses prescribed by the faculty and/or an occupational advisory committee approved by the college trustees and California Chancellors Office and published in the applicable curriculum guide.
  3. Complete 50% of the required units at Ohlone College for the certificate to be awarded by Ohlone.

What students will be able to do after they obtain the Certificate of Achievement for Robotics

Courses to be taken to Obtain the Certificate of Achievement for Robotics

  • Digital Logic , Microprocessors and Microcontrollers - 3 units
  • Intergrated Electronics and Measurements for Automated Systems - 3 units
  • Embedded System Programming - 3 units
  • Machines and mechanics - 3 units
  • Introduction to Robotic Systems - 4 units

Currently, Robotics and Industrial Engineering programs at Santa Clara University, San Jose State College and Fresno State have been suggested as schools of interest.
