Industrial and Four Year Schools Outreach

Local industries and employers have always been supportive of the Science, Technology, and Engineering Division programs - providing participants for our Advisory Meetings, donating equipment, offering internships, donating to scholarships and grants. The robotics program intends to strengthen existing relationships and to seek out companies and four year schools to become partners in building the program.

These companies and organizations have already contributed to the robotics program:

Currently, Ohlone is working with NASA Ames to develop a class in embedded systems tentatively named “Java Bot “ . A model of the Mars Rover developed at Ames NASA is on loan to the Robotics Group to help in this development.
