About the ACCUPLACER Tests
Reading ACCUPLACER Test
The ACCUPLACER Reading Assessment Test evaluates English Reading competency. Passing the English/Reading ACCUPLACER Test "clears" the Reading eligibility requirement (ENGL-163 or ENGL-167 or equivalent) for admission. Note, however, that passing the English ACCUPLACER Test does not clear the ENGL-101A or equivalent eligibility requirement.
Math ACCUPLACER Test
Passing the ACCUPLACER Math Assessment Test "clears" the Math eligibility requirement (MATH-153 or MATH-155 or equivalent) for admission. If students have completed a college course in Intermediate Algebra or higher with a grade of "C" or higher, they do not need to take the Math ACCUPLACER Test.
