Speech & Communication Studies Club
Purpose of the Speech Club
The Speech & Communication Studies Club is for Ohlone College students interested in majoring in communication or pursuing a career in the communication field. Students can also plan and organize special events on campus to begin building their resumes for careers in marketing communication, mass communication, public relations, and event planning.

Speech Club Events
The club's largest projects each semester are arranging guest speakers to speak at Ohlone College. Every Fall semester, the club plans and organizes a careers in communication panel discussion to be held on campus.
Each year the Speech & Communication Studies Club also assists with Speech Night. This is an evening program that showcases Speech & Communication Studies students' talents and efforts as they have progressed through the year in the classroom and in forensic competition.
Sigma Chi Eta Membership
The
Ohlone College Speech & Communication Studies Department has been
granted a
charter membership to Sigma Chi Eta, the official community
college
honor society of the National Communication Association
