Theatre Guild - Theatre and Dance
Theatre Guild Banquet

Kathy Stone, John Shubert & Michael Heizne, Theatre Guild Banquet.
The Theatre Guild Banquet was the end of the year celebration for the students and staff, and a night to recognize the outstanding students of the year
Held off campus at such memorable places as Swiss Park, the old clubhouse at the Fairway golf course(now the BrewPub), Sunol Country Club, a former mortuary on Fremont Blvd. now called The Carriage House, and the Holiday Inn in Milpitas.
The evening usually was one of merriment and dancing, with alumni mixing with the new students. Roasts of faculty and deserving students were combined with the honoring of those who worked very hard all year.
Originally Shakespeare busts were given to the persons honored, but as costs soared the busts were replaced with other trophies, rings, or plaques.
Following Craig's death, a scholarships has been presented by his wife, Bonnie, to deserving television and theatre students.
With the completion of the new building the banquet has given way to a ceremony held on-stage in the G. Craig Jackson Theatre with a student and faculty show, with the traditional trophies for those honored students. followed by food and drink on the main stage and Nummi Theatre. The "Banquet" is usually the last weekend of the school year. Please call the department if you would like an invitation.
