The Ohlone College Broadcasting Department offers hands-on classes in film production, film directing, film editing, AVID editing, Final Cut Pro editing, shooting video for TV, film production, video production and TV news production. We are The Bay Area's TV & Video Lab.

Ohlone College Broadcasting's film and TV classes offer training that is essential to get the job you want in film, film editing, film production and TV production, including sitcoms, entertainment shows, documentary production or TV news.

Live Television Production (Behind the Camera)
Learn to run a studio camera, how to work with a green screen, operate a switcher, floor direct or operate a teleprompter, LED Lighting. and be part of the crew putting on a live weekly show. Studio skills to help you get a job. Taught by NBC, CBS, ABC News Producer Paul Hammons. Enroll now in Live Television Production.
Live Television Newscast (In Front of the Camera)
Report, shoot, write and produce television news. Train to anchor, report, learn to do professional quality live shots and packages, then see them air on a live weekly newscast. Learn to shoot and edit video for broadcast. Taught by KTVU Reporter, Producer, and NBC Nightly News writer Gary Kauf. BRDC 141 Mon. & Wed. 6:30-9:15 pm. Enroll now in Live Television Newscast.
Digital Video and Lighting (Learn to Shoot Like a Pro)
Shoot video with professional Sony chip cameras. Learn lighting, panoramic shots, how to shoot an interview. KTVU Cameraman William Moore teaches this class. BRDC 136 Mon. & Wed. 11:30 am to 2 pm. Enroll now in Digital Video and Lighting.
Advanced Film and Video Production
This class is for people serious about getting into the film industry or working in video production, lighting, dolly shots and set prep. . Taught by WB, Pixar & ILM filmmaker Lawrence Iriarte. BRDC 152 Saturday 9 am to 2:30 pm. & 8 hours. Enroll now in Advanced Film and Video Production.
Sports Broadcasting
Train to be a play-by-play announcer, learn camera technique and TV Sports production skills as part of a crew on a live sports crew. Taught by NBC Sports Producer Paul Hammons. BRDC 144 Friday 2 noon to 4:30pm & 2 ½ hours. Enroll now in Sports Broadcasting.
Video Editing: Final Cut Pro Master Class

Video Editing: Final Cut Pro for Beginners
