Avid Non-linear Editing - Ohlone College Broadcasting: Film & TV Classes

Ohlone College Broadcasting Department's AVID Media Composer Adrenalin.The AVID Media-Composer Adrenaline provides students with unparalled hands-on experience using the exact non-linear editing equipment used to cut an estimated 90% of prime-time television shows. The Media-Composer Adrenaline is an awesome piece of editing machinery that sets a new standard in video editing power, with the ability to:

  • Student using Avid Xpress workstation. run up to 11 streams of uncompressed video
  • create marquees and 3D titling
  • create FluidMotion and 2D and 3D digital video effects
  • edit 24p and film on the Macintosh platform
  • build up to 24 tracks of video (without nesting)

In addition to the Media-Composer Adrenaline, Ohlone College Television has:

  • an audio suite running Pro Tools on a G5 with a DigiDesign 002 and sixteen track recording in its own sound studio
  • 4 AVID DV Pro Editing bays
  • 4 Final Cut Pro Editing bays

FREE Non-Linear Editing Lab tutoring is available to all students enrolled in an Ohlone College Television class involving non-linear editing.
