Cultural Exchange with China

Over the past two years, Ohlone College has established a valuable cultural and educational exchange program with several colleges and universities in China. Ohlone dancers travel to China, Monitor, September 20, 2007.

Zhejiang Academy of Arts

Female and male dancers performing.The Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Arts has a 50-year history of comprehensive arts instruction. Located in the Zhejiang Province on the Qiantang River in China, the academy offers higher education programs in the performing arts, visual arts, and electronic arts and technology from accomplished instructors with professional backgrounds in the arts.

The school actively adapts their instructional programs to the economic and social demands for arts and culture in the province to keep their programs vibrant and dynamic.

Zhejiang Academy provides development of artistic talent to professional performing groups all across China. As guests of Ohlone College they will continue the established practice of cultural exchange by having their students attending class with our students and sharing instruction and technique before performing.
