March 2008 Accreditation Evaluation Team Site Visit

Ohlone College is being March 3-6, 2008 by a team of 12 people representing community colleges from around the state.  This team visit is an important part of the accreditation reaffirmation process in relation to the four accreditation standards.

You are encouraged to participate during the site visit next week by attending one (or all) of the three open meetings that have been arranged, as follows:

• Tuesday, March 4 / 2:00pm - 3:00pm / Open Forum
  - Newark Center campus - Room NC-2106 -
  This is the first of two opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to meet members of the accreditation team and to participate in a dialogue about your experience at Ohlone College.

• Wednesday, March 5 / 9:00am - 10:00am / Open Forum
  - Fremont campus - Smith Center (Jackson Theater) -
  This is the second opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to meet members of the evaluation team and to participate in a dialogue about your experience at Ohlone College.

• Thursday, March 6 / 1:00pm - 2:00pm / Exit Report
  - Fremont campus - Smith Center (Jackson Theater) -
  The entire accreditation team will be present at this meeting to report the team's preliminary findings in terms of commendations and/or recommendations for Ohlone College.  Please note that Team Chair, Dr. John Nixon, will report their preliminary feedback and then the team will leave the campus.  As a matter of protocol and directed format, no questions or comments are allowed during the exit meeting.

The list of the Accreditation Site Visit Team (PDF) members (with a brief bio and picture for each member) is available for review.  Please extend every courtesy to the visiting team next week and help make them feel welcome!
