Important: Policy for Repeating Courses has Changed
The California Community College Board of Governors passed revisions to Title 5 regarding course repetition effective Summer 2012.
Students will only be allowed to enroll in a course not designated as "repeatable" (ENGL-101A, for instance) three times if they received a substandard grade (D, F, NP, or NC) or withdrew from the class with a W.
These new regulations were applied retroactively so enrollments prior to Summer 2012 will be counted towards the three times, and any student who has already taken a course the maximum number of times will no longer be able to take the same course at Ohlone College. Please refer to Repeating Courses for more information.

Credit Card Payment System
A recent problem with the credit card payment system has been resolved. Students will no longer be deregistered for non-payment of fees for Fall 2013 classes. Please pay your account balance promptly to avoid being blocked from future registration and to be able to request transcripts.
Finalize Your Schedule
Please drop yourself from any classes or waitlists that you do not intend to stay in. Other students are waiting patiently and will really benefit if you vacate a seat that you do not need. You will be held responsible for payment of fees for classes in which you are registered beyond the refund deadline, whether or not you attend them.
Attend the First Meeting of Your Classes
Being sensitive to the high demand from other students, faculty may drop you as a “no show” if you do not come to the first class/first week. Show up to your classes or communicate with your faculty if you intend to stay enrolled.
First Week Enrollment
As in the past, students can utilize WebAdvisor to add themselves into available seats in classes or on to section specific waitlists. Students on the waitlists will be registered into any available space each day through August 30. You are advised to continue to check your schedule on WebAdvisor daily to watch for any changes. After the first week, the permission of the instructor is required to get into any section. Faculty will not typically sign or utilize add cards until the second week.
Ohlone is now a smoke-free district. The former designated parking lots no longer apply. There is no smoking anywhere on Ohlone property.
A great deal of construction has taken place over the summer that you will notice if you are a returning student and appreciate if you are new. Changes include new signage, clearing of trees, renovations to the pond area and walkways, new roofs, Newark covered parking/solar panels, etc.
Parking regulations are enforced as of the first day of the term. Parking is usually quite busy the first week as students are adjusting their schedules. Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early as it may take you a little while to find a parking spot. Semester length permits are available online at www.ohlone.edu/go/semesterpermit.
