Christian Schiess: Neon Sculpture
With colored light and tubular glass Schiess produces a 3-dimensional alchemy affecting our space and perceptions. Schiess, a Bay Area artist, author of neon articles, a Fulbright recipient at the Royal College of Art-London,1990-92, has international exhibit credits. He currently teaches at the Crucible in Oakland.
Accompanying this show will be a tour of the Crucible sculpture facility and demonstration of neon sculpture fabrication by Christian Schiess, date to be announced.
