Please join us for an evening presentation, “50 years of History at Ohlone College,” by Dr. Jim Wright

Dr. Wright has recently published, The Birth of Ohlone College in Celebration of the College's 50th Anniversary, and has a unique perspective on the history of the college, community involvement, construction and expansion, departments and programs and, of course, the people and events that have shaped our school.

Jim Wright.Dr. Jim Wright's career in public education spanned 41 years as a teacher and administrator at the high school, community college and university levels in New England and in California. He came to Ohlone College in 1994 and retired in 2013, after 19 years of service, the last 10 of which in the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs/Deputy Superintendent. Dr. Wright earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Education from Husson College, a Master's Degree in Adult Education from the University of Maine, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Connecticut. He resides in Pleasanton, CA with his wife Nancy.
