Ohlone Ranked 3rd Nationally; Twohig National Coach of the Year
August 3, 2010 - Ohlone Renegades baseball finished the 2010 season with a #3 ranking in Perfect Game USA’s Junior College Poll. The top two rankings went to the finalist in the NJCAA World Series. The Renegades former Head Coach, Jordon Twohig, was honored as the 2010 ABCA Diamond/National Coach of the Year.
Russell Renegades new head of state champions
July 23, 2010, Tri-City Voice - After leading the Ohlone College baseball team to its first State championship last season, and its first national ranking in team history back in 2009, Jordon Twohig has officially resigned as the head coach of Ohlone baseball and accepted a position as the assistant coach for the University of Washington. Laran Signs with University of Arkansas at Monticello
July 18, 2010 - Ohlone Renegade sophomore outfielder Tanner Laran, signed with University of Arkansas at Monticello, a rising Division II program. Ohlone Announces Julian Russell as Interim Head Baseball Coach
July 13, 2010 Press Release - “Assistant Coach Julian Russell will be stepping in as the interim head coach of the State Championship-winning Renegades Baseball team,” Athletics Director Chris Warden announced Tuesday after the resignation of former head coach Jordan Twohig. June 18, 2010, Tri-City Voice - Before he even threw a pitch this season, Ohlone College pitcher Roberto Padilla knew what was on the line. Having already committed to San Jose State University, the lanky left hander had grown accustomed to what was going on around him. Fragulia & Holmstrom Named to the Coast Conference-Pacific Division All Academic Team
June 11, 2010 - Ohlone College sophomores Kyle Holmstrom and Jon Fragulia were recently named to the Coast Conference – Pacific Division ALL-Academic team for 2010. This award is given to players within the conference that earn a 3.2 GPA or higher during their 2 spring semesters. Both Holmstrom and Fragulia are deciding between 4-year university’s that they will attend in the fall of 2010. Ohlone College Pitcher Joe Gardner Named in the Top 20 Most “Important Players” in the Indians Rebuilding Plan
June 3, 2010 - Whether the Indians want to admit it to you or not, we all know they are trying to rebuild from a team that just three seasons ago were one win away from the World Series. … Gardner in six starts a Lake County went 1-0 with 38 strikeouts and just 11 walks. He was moved up to Kinston in early May, and is 2-0 in four starts with 20 strikeouts and 12 walks. May 23, 2010 - Ohlone College's offensive surge that has powered its way through the postseason carried the Renegades to their first California Community College Athletic Association state championship on Sunday with a 16-10 win over College of San Mateo at Fresno City College's John Euless Ballpark. Sophomore Pitcher signs Division I scholarship!
