Ian Hoff – (Baseball) Male Athlete of the Year
November 12, 2009 - This year’s 2009 Ohlone College Athletics Male Athlete of the year is sophomore baseball player Ian Hoff. This past spring Ohlone College Baseball had one of the best seasons in its 39 year history. The team broke the single season record for wins with 37, hosted the Northern California Super-Regional’s for the 1st time ever, and was ranked as high as #3 in the nation according to PERFECT GAME Baseball. Second Annual Pro and College Scout Day at Ohlone
October 28, 2009, Fremont, CA - Ohlone Baseball is set to host its second annual Pro and College scout day this Friday, October 30, 2009. The event will give major league scouts and college recruiters from Division I to NAIA levels a chance to see current players before the spring season.

August 24, 2009, Fremont, CA - Head Baseball Coach Jordon Twohig announced that 11 sophomores and 1 freshman from the 2009 team have signed letters of intent to play at the 4-year college/university level. Renegades signed at schools such as San Jose State, University of Oregon, and 16-Time National Champion Lewis and Clark State. Julian Russell Named New Assistant Coach
Will Also Serve As Infield Coach and Hitting Instructor
August 20, 2009, Fremont, CA - Former University of Hawaii assistant coach Julian Russell has been hired as an Infield coach and hitting instructor for the Ohlone College baseball team, head coach Jordon Twohig announced Friday. Former Renegade Pitcher - Gardner Taken on Day 1 of the 2009 MLB Draft
June 9, 2009, Cleveland, OH - Former 2008 Renegade Pitcher Joe Gardner was selected as the #94 pick over all in the 3rd Round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Cleveland Indians. Gardner, who pitched this season as a junior at University of California Santa Barbara, pitched for the Ohlone Renegades in 2007 and 2008. Gardner is a graduate of local Milpitas High School for Head Coach Chuy Zamudio. Gardner was an All-Conference pitcher for Ohlone.
Zach Johnson named California Athlete of the Month - Honorable Mention: May
June 9, 2009, Sacramento, CA - Zach Johnson from Ohlone College Baseball was named the California Community College Athlete of the Month - Honorable Mention for the month of May. Zach helped lead Ohlone to a Conference Championship and a Regional Championship over Chabot College. He was also named 1st Team All Coast Conference as an infielder. Ian Hoff named to the ALL-Northern CA 1st –Team
May 26, 2009, Fresno, CA - The California Community College baseball coaches had their annual all-state meeting this past weekend in Fresno. The coaches voted and recognized many deserving athletes for All-Northern and Southern California teams, and for All-American accolades.
