Ohlone Falls to Canada in Close Game
Renegades hit 4 HR’s in the loss
March 9, 2010 - The Ohlone Renegades (10-4, 3-1) lost a heartbreaker to the Canada Colts on very windy day in Redwood City by the score 8-9. Ohlone received plenty of offense but the pitching down the stretch was not as strong as Ohlone saw Canada come from behind twice in the latter part of the game to take the victory. Ohlone Sweeps First Week in Conference Play
Renegades improve to 10-3 on the season & 3-0 in Conference
March 7, 2010 - The Ohlone College Renegades (10-3, 3-0) swept their first week of Coast-Pacific Conference play in dominating fashion. After a 10-1 victory over the visiting Gavilan Rams, Ohlone went on the road to take 2 games. On Friday, Ohlone defeated the De Anza Dons 13-1. Ohlone wins Coast-Pacific Opener over Gavilan
March 4, 2010 - The Ohlone Renegades (8-3, 1-0) defeated the Gavilan Rams on Thursday by a score of 10-1. Mark Mercer improved to (2-1) on the year by pitching 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The Renegades were led offensively by Jeff Johnson (3 for 5, 2b, 2 RBI’s, 1 run scored) and Michael Ussery (2 for 4, 3b, 2 RBI’s, 1 run scored), and Michael Briseno (2 for 4, 3b, 2 runs scored). Ohlone ties game in 9th wins in 14th
February 25, 2010 - The Ohlone Renegades (7-2, 0-0) defeated the Solano Falcons by a score of 8-7 in 14 innings. George Asmus earned the victory by throwing 1 inning in relief. March 3, 2010, Tri-City Voice - Coming off a stunning, come-from-behind win against the College of San Mateo on Wednesday, Feb. 24, the Ohlone College baseball team found itself in another ninth-inning rally on Thursday, Feb. 25, against Solano College. Late Inning Heroics Propel Ohlone past San Mateo
Ohlone scores 8 times in the 9th
February 24, 2010 - On a day where San Mateo dominated for 26 outs, it was the 27th that decided the outcome of the game. The Ohlone Renegades (6-2, 0-0) defeated the host San Mateo Bulldogs by a score of 10-9 on Wednesday. Freshman George Asmus earned the victory by pitching 5 innings of stellar relief. George only allowed 3 hits, 1 run, and struck out 5 Bulldog batters. Freshman Alika Pruett earned his first save on the year by getting the final two outs of the bottom of the 9th.
