Local JC softball and baseball teams putting up wins

Chabot and Ohlone softball and baseball teams won 10 and lost three for the week of February 23 to March 1.
Best game of the week was Ohlone baseball’s 1-0 victory over Nor Cal number one and state number-two ranked Sacramento City College. Sophomore right hander, Ian Hoff, threw a one-hit, complete-game shutout for Head Coach Jordon Twohig’s Renegades. In addition, Hoff struck-out eight over his nine innings of work.
Over the week, Ohlone also defeated Coast Pacific Conference (CPC) rivals Gavilan of Gilroy, 28-9, and Hartnell of Salinas, 11-8. Ohlone plays in the CPC Division. Next home games for the Renegades are Mission of Santa Clara, a Coast Golden Gate Conference (CGGC) team on Thursday, March 5, and CPC foe, Skyline of San Bruno, Tuesday, March 10. Both games start at 2 p.m.
