Fremont, Calif. - Ohlone Renegades baseball eclipsed their previous high in wins, as well as winning the Coast Conference Pacific Division outright for the first time in 18 years, with a 4-1 win on their home field against Skyline.
Training, 1-0, going into the bottom half of the seventh, the Renegades bats woke up, scoring all four of their runs in the frame.
Cody Foster tied the game with an RBI single, scoring Steven Ramos -- who had just tripled -- from third. And after Zack Johnson walked, Jeff Johnson knocked one out of the ballpark to make it 4-1 Ohlone.
Ian Hoff pitched four and two-thirds innings of relief for Sean Martin to get the win for the Renegades, who got their 35 win of the season, with only nine down. Hoff allowed no runs on two hits, while striking out four in the winning cause.
Ohlone will now host a first-round regional tournament series over the weekend of May 8-10. Their opponent will be determined on May 3.
