Ohlone Baseball ranks high in preseason polls

Fremont, CA - The Ohlone baseball team has earned a national ranking in both the Perfect Game National Preseason Top 50, as well as the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll. The Renegades check in at No. 9 in the Perfect Game poll, and are at the No. 2 in the Collegiate Baseball Poll.

Ohlone will carry a national ranking into the regular season for the first time in the program’s 40 year history. During the 2009 season, the Renegades were ranked as high as No. 3 in the Perfect Game national poll on May 13th.

Ohlone is looking to win back-to-back outright Coast Conference Championships for the first time since 1990-1991, and just the second time in school history. Last year the Renegades finished with a record of 37-11, won the Northern California Regional Championship and advanced to the Super-Regional Tournament.

Ohlone opens the 2010 season against Diablo Valley College on Feb. 6th in Pleasant Hill. The first pitch is set for 12:00pm. Come support the Renegades to another championship season!
