We've all heard the names in the papers for the past few years, and after the Major league Baseball Draft earlier this month, we will continue to keep hearing the names, maybe even seeing them in a ballpark near us.

Along with the big news of Ohlone College left-hander Roberto Padilla getting drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second day of the MLB Draft, teammates Steven Ramos and Zach Johnson were drafted in the third day by the St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland Athletics, respectively.

Ramos, who went 679th overall to St. Louis, simply shined throughout his two years at Ohlone College, winning the State Championship this season. The everyday left fielder batted .378 in 80 regular season games for the Renegades including seven home runs and 84 RBIs in his two years as the Renegades' leadoff man. He also racked a total of 72 stolen bases, leading the Renegades to their first 30-plus win season in 2009 and Ohlone College's first State title in 2010.

The Oakland A's drafted Johnson with the 1,445th overall pick on the third day of the draft as he came to Ohlone off a two-year baseball hiatus and picked up right where he left off after graduating from California High School in San Ramon in 2006. The Ohlone third baseman batted .375 in 74 regular season games with the Renegades, knocking out 18 homers and knocking in 66 RBIs. He led the Renegades in hitting with a .405 batting average and 12 home runs in 2010.

Along with Ohlone's Ramos and Johnson, Cal State East Bay pitcher Devin Grigg was also drafted, going 525th overall to the Minnesota Twins organization.

Grigg finished the 2010 season going 5-1 for the Pioneers with a 2.89 ERA with 19 strikeouts as East Bay went 23-29-1 on the year. Offensively, Grigg batted .289 on the season with five home runs and 33 RBIs and stole 25 bases in 28 attempts.
