6 Renegades Moving On
- Jamaal Blalock – Virginia Union University
- Averaged 2ppg and 1rpg. Shot 86% from the free throw line.
- Scott Clark – Humboldt State
- First team all league, averaged 11ppg, 4rpg and 3apg. While shooting 80% from the free throw line and 45% from the field.
- Quaran Johnson – Metro State College
- Honorable mention all league, averaged 6ppg and 4apg shot 54% from the field and 39% from three.
- Reggie Jones – CSU, Stanislaus
- League MVP, Northern California Player of the Year, averaged 15ppg, 5rpg shot 62% from the field and scored a season high of 33 vs. Foothill.
- Isaiah Moore – California Maritime Academy
- Averaged 8ppg and 4 rpg shot 53% from the field and had 26 points vs Siskiyous.
- Ronnie Sawyer – Post University
- Averaged 12ppg and 5rpg shot 70% from the free throw line and a season high of 26 points vs. Consumnes River.
Four Renegades moving to the next level
May 13, 2010, Ohlone College Monitor - Reggie Jones, Scott Clark, Quaran Johnson and Jamaal Blalock will be taking their talents to the next level. Run—Ohlone plays an aggressive, up-tempo style of basketball.
Exposure—The Renegades play in the toughest conference in California and are within a 2-hour drive of nine Division I schools.
Nike—One of only 4 junior colleges in the state to have an all school deal with Nike.
Experience winning—Ohlone has won over 72% of its games under Coach Peterson.
Great location—Ohlone is located in Silicon Valley, with easy access to San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland and the beaches of Santa Cruz.
Academic support for student athletes—In-house academic advisor specifically dedicated to student athletes, study table, academic notebooks, and tutorial sessions will help you transition to the 4-year level.
Defense—Ohlone's pressing defense and match-up zone have held opponents to 63.4 points per game over the last 9 years.
Enjoy the process—We foster a tight-knit group through the recruitment of quality people and team-building functions.
Strength—We lift a minimum of 4 days a week, using a strength and conditioning program developed by Anthony Eggleton that keeps us injury free and builds size and core strength.
