College basketball review: Ohlone men take West Valley Classic championship

A three-game losing streak in late November seems like months ago, as coach John Peterson and crew enter the Christmas break on a five-game winning streak after winning the West Valley tournament last weekend, December 18-20.
The Renegades defeated Siskiyous 90-49 on Friday, Dec. 18; Monterey Peninsula 70-39 on Saturday, Dec. 19; and Foothill 56-52 in the championship round on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Friday and Saturday's wins mark the lowest number of points allowed in a game by the Renegades so far this season.
The Renegades return to action on New Year's Eve when they travel to Sacramento to take on Consumnes River.
