Reggie Jones poured in 26 points and the Renegades opened the second half with a 25-3 run as Ohlone took sole possession of first place with a big Coast Conference North win over the visiting Rams. Demetris Love scored seven of his nine points during the key stretch of the contest that turned a 32-32 game at the half into a rout. Ohlone's trap defense frustrated the Rams the entire second half, as San Francisco was held to seven field goals, including three in the first 13 minutes after intermission.
Each team had a big run in the opening half. Trailing 15-11, Ohlone (19-4, 8-1 CCN) went on a 17-2 run to take a 28-17 lead with 4:42 left in the half. The Rams did not fold as the closed the first half with a 15-4 run of its own to tie the game heading into the break. Scott Clark added 12 points for the Renegades, who had six players with at least seven points. Lavon Gray had a near-double-double for the Renegades, finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds. Christopher White and Bennie Rhodes had 11 points apiece to pace the Rams (22-3, 7-2).
Ohlone closes out the regular season on Wednesday with a home gave vs. Las Positas before the finale at rival Chabot on Friday.
