JC men's basketball: Ohlone wins over Shasta

Ohlone 75, Shasta 60: The host Renegades used a 19-2 run in the first half to finally shake off a stubborn Knights team and advance to the Northern regional finals of the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs. Ohlone (23-4), the top-seed in Northern California, will host No. 8 Yuba next Saturday at 7 p.m. with a spot to the eight-team state championships at stake.
Scott Clark was all over the court for the Renegades, finishing with 15 points, six assists and three steals. Reggie Jones was one rebound shy of a doube-double for Ohlone, scoring 15 points while grabbing nine boards and blocking two shots. Ronnie Sawyer (12 points) and Lavon Gray (10) were also in double figures for the Renegades. Matt Fogarty led the Knights (15-12) with 19 points and five rebounds.
