Ohlone hoops improving
January 18, 2011, Tri-City Voice - … Ohlone College men's team had an up-and-down week, starting off the week with a victorious road trip to Las Positas College in Livermore. Lavon Gray led the Renegades with 23 points in their 63-59 win. Geoff Hartman kicked in nine in the win. Unfortunately, Ohlone's three-game winning streak in the conference was snapped later in the week (Jan. 14) with a 78-64 loss to City College of San Francisco. …

January 12, 2011, Inside Bay Area - Ring Ayuel is a tall example, literally and figuratively, of why [the] elections [in Sudan] are important. January 7, 2011, Tri-City Voice - … Ohlone's men's team lost their only contest of the week, 85-80 over Cosumnes River College. The Renegades begin 2011 with a 9-5 record.

December 24, 2010, Tri-City Voice - … The local junior colleges had considerably more upbeat weeks, especially at Ohlone College, whose men's and women's team each won tournaments. The men began the West Valley event with a 66-51 whipping of Diablo Valley College, who came into the game ranked fourth in the state. The Renegades, who are currently ranked in the state's top 20, were led by Levon Grey's 20 points. Following the upset win, Ohlone rolled to the tournament title with victories over Alameda (by an 87-44 score) in the semis, and a 77-68 final win over Siskiyous. …

December 10, 2010, The Placer Herald - Ring Ayuel has been on his own since running away from home in 1999 when he was just 11 years old. His village of Turalei in southern Sudan was under siege. Fragile Renegades get much-needed victory
December 2, 2010, Ohlone College Monitor - The Ohlone men’s basketball team defeated Monterey Peninsula College on Wednesday 65-51 in a game they desperately needed to win to prevent a three game losing streak dating back to the Shasta Summit Tournament. Local community college update
November 15, 2010, Tri-City Voice: Sports - … Ohlone men are no slouch themselves, as last season’s Coast Conference North champions demonstrated with three wins in their first four games. At the Jonathan Wallace tourney held at Ohlone, the Renegades won two of three. Coach John Peterson’s squad beat West Valley 78-59 later in the week.
The 2010-2011 Ohlone College Renegades
November 1, 2010, NorCal High School and Junior College Basketball - Guess who won the Coast Conference North Division last season? City College San Francisco? To mix sports metaphors, that's a fastball on the corner for strike one. Foothill? A curve that catches the inside part of the plate, and strike two. Chabot? A change-of-pace and a whiff so grab some pine, yer out! It was Ohlone College based on an 11-1 league record, 24-5 overall. Read more The 2010-2011 Ohlone College Renegades.
