Underdog Ohlone looks to shock in tournament
November 5, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - The Ohlone Men’s Water Polo team will play in the Coast Conference tournament starting Friday, Nov. 6. The Renegades will play as the fourth seed, taking on top-seeded West Valley, who are the defending state champions and are pushing for their twentieth conference title. Ohlone sports roundup: Men's Water Polo
October 28, 2009, Tri-City Voice - Both the men's and women's water polo teams had a trying week. The Ohlone men's team lost two matches to see their record drop to 3-10 with losses to Modesto 8-7 on October 17 and to Merced, 14-5.
The Lady Renegades didn't fare much better, losing to De Anza 8-4 on October 14 and to Merced 15-2. Evelyn Choy scored a goal against Merced and had 1 assist.

October 22, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - The Ohlone Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams each took the pool Wednesday hoping to start new win-ning streaks. The Men’s team lost a heartbreaker to Modesto Junior college on Saturday by the score of 8-7, and the Lady Renegades came off an 8-4 loss to the De Anza Dons last Wednesday. October 21, 2009, Tri-City Voice - Following a win over Solano College in their conference opener, the Renegades dropped two straight games on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10. Cabrillo College beat Ohlone 10-3 despite being outshot by the Renegades 30-20. Art Federle scored twice for Ohlone in the losing effort.
The Renegades gave a better effort at the West Valley College tournament the next day, but still found victory elusive, losing 10-9 to West Valley.
Men’s polo loses battle to West Valley
October 15, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - After opening up conference play with a convincing win over Solano College by the score of 10-3, the Ohlone Men’s Water Polo team struggled a bit over the weekend, losing to conference rival Cabrillo College 10-3 on Friday and got edged out by West Valley College 10-9 in the West Valley College Tournament on Saturday. October 14, 2009, Tri-City Voice - Ohlone opened their conference season with a 10-3 win over Solano on October 2. The Renegades had a nicely balanced attack in which eight players scored. Kevin Lugo and Jeremy Bergey each scored two for the Renegades.
Renegades drown Solano
October 8, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - The Ohlone Men’s Water Polo team continues to open up the year strong, defeating Solano 10-3 in the first game of conference play last Friday. Read more Renegades drown Solano (PDF).
Ohlone sports roundup: Men's Water Polo
October 7, 2009, Tri-City Voice - The Renegades' men's water polo team performed well at their own tournament, going 3-1 at the Ohlone College Tournament on the weekend of September 25 and 26. The Renegades opened with a 13-11 loss to Delta College, their third loss to Delta this season.
Ohlone's second Friday game was a forfeit win, due to a flu outbreak on the Solano team, which left them unable to field a squad. Ohlone came on strong in day two of the tourney, beating San Jose State 8-6 in a tight defensive battle. The Renegades beat Sierra 12-9. Scott Harvey was the offensive star of the game for Ohlone.
Ohlone goes 3-1 in opening tournament
October 1, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - The Ohlone Men’s Water Polo team continued its solid play to begin the year. The Renegades went 3-1 over the weekend at the Ohlone College Tournament last Friday and Saturday. September 30, 2009, Tri-City Voice - The Renegades went 2-2 at the Cuesta College tournament in San Luis Obispo on September 18 and 19. Ohlone defeated Solano 11-1, lost to both Delta (18-11) and Modesto (16-14), but pulled off a significant coup with a 15-10 win over Merced. This was Ohlone's first win over Merced since Ohlone's water polo program began in 1974. Read more Ohlone sports roundup.

September 24, 2009, Ohlone College Monitor - As the Ohlone Men’s Water Polo team opens up its first week of home tournament play, the third tourna-ment overall, the Renegades hope to build off a strong showing last weekend, and continue to improve week after week.
