July 8, 2009, Tri-City Voice - After a successful two-year career at Ohlone College, former Lady Renegades pitcher Kelly Colker will take her game up a level, committing to Division-I University of Nevada at Reno, where she'll major in Hospitality Administration/ Management. Ohlone softball players Colker, Miller bound for Division I programs
July 2, 2009, Inside Bay Area - Ohlone College pitcher Kelly Colker and shortstop Jamie Miller are headed to Division I softball programs. Colker, a Newark Memorial High graduate and two-time All-State first-team selection, has orally committed to Nevada. Ohlone Softball lands prize recruit
June 10, 2009, Tri-City Voice - Even before the current season ends, college coaches have to hit the recruiting trail to be able to compete the following season in their chosen sport. For Ohlone College Renegades' softball Head Coach Donna Runyon, this year was no different even though her team advanced to the California State Community College Tournament for the first time. … Along Coach Runyon's recruiting trail, which included scouting high school softball games, she came across a senior pitcher from the Livermore High Cowboys named Jessica Varady. All the 5-foot-4, 123 pound Varady did was lead her Cowboy teammates to the North Coast Section (NCS) Division I 2009 softball championship. Read more Ohlone Softball lands prize recruit.
