2016 Coach Biography: Donna Runyon, Head Softball Coach - Ohlone College Renegades Women's Softball

Coach Runyon has coached Community College Softball for the past 36 years, 29 of them at Ohlone College. Coach Runyon was recently selected to receive a "4CAA Coaches Lifetime Achievement Award."

In 2014, she received her 900th win milestone from Easton Sports with 904 wins. The Renegades have qualified for Post Season play for 25 seasons and received Conference Championship Titles in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1997, and for nine consecutive years from 2003-2011. Her most recent State Finals appearance was in 2009.

In 2004, Runyon was inducted to her high school Athletics Hall of Fame at Pennsbury High School in Pennsylvania. She played professional softball in the late 1970s for the Pennsylvania Liberties and the Bakersfield Aggies. In addition, she played basketball at Temple University and Lock Haven State University.

She is a graduate of Temple University and Lock Haven State University with a Degree in Health and Physical Education, and received her Master's Degree in Administration of Physical Education at St. Mary's College, in Moraga, California.
