Looking forward to the 2011 Season
July 7, 2011 - After 2010’s disappointing finish to the season, Ohlone Volleyball looks to improve with the signing of some great young talent.
The 2011 class is filled with it, 7 newcomers to be exact, including freshman defensive specialist Lindsey Calabrese from Valley Christian High School in San Jose and outside hitter Jennifer Covey from Archbishop Mitty in San Jose.
Also joining the squad for 2011 are middle blockers Elise Menicou from Moreau Catholic High School, Selina Samorano from Arroyo High School, and current Ohlone student Katie Hayes (Fremont Christian High School).
Rounding off the 2011 class is setter Olivia Downing from American High School and defensive specialist Katelyn Petricka from Granada High School.
Although there are a still a few more recruits in the middle of their decision process, the returning sophomores along with the incoming recruiting class look to make 2011 an exciting more competitive season than years past.
