Ohlone College women's basketball player Sabrina Swayzer, a Washington High graduate, has signed with Cal State East Bay.

Swayzer was a two-year starter at Ohlone, averaging eight points, two steals and two assists per game. She shot 30 percent from 3-point range and 40 percent from the floor. She was a track and basketball star at Washington.

Cal State East Bay's women's basketball team, under coach Suzy Barcomb, had a memorable 2011-12 season in becoming the school's first team to advance to the California Collegiate Athletic Association playoffs. The Pioneers (12-17) bowed out with a respectable 46-43 loss to Cal State Monterey Bay.
