With the preseason in full effect the Ohlone Renegades sit with a 6-3 record heading into one of the tougher tournaments in the North this weekend at Santa Rosa Junior College. The Renegades with an already tough first nine games will open with the College of Redwoods on Friday and will meet either #2 ranked Delta College or Mendocino College.
With the conclusion of last weekends tournament at Contra Costa College the women's basketball team held on to complete the tournament 2-1 with victories over Chabot College and Los Medanos College. They suffered a first round nail biter to host team Contra Costa in front of a lively and full crowd.
The Renegades have already faced two final four teams (both in the same tournament) from last year and knocking off one of them (Santa Rosa) in the Merced Tournament. They have also faced and beaten Mission College, De Anza College and Lassen.
This years team has more new faces than any of the previous years only returning two players from last years team. With four new starters in the line up the Renegades are holding their own with much improvement to be made and their sights are set on where they want to be in the end of February.Ohlone's next home game will be December 20, 2013, at 6:00pm against the Owls of Foothill College.
