2014-2015 Biography: Mark Escalona, 1st Assistant Coach - Ohlone College Renegades Women's Basketball

Coach Mark Escalona is in his first year as an assistant at Ohlone. He grew up in Newark, CA and he graduated from Newark Memorial High School in 2007 where he played basketball, football, and tennis. After high school, he went on to attend Cal State East Bay and graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2012.

While still in high school, Mark began his coaching career at St. Edward's in Newark. He then moved on to coach at Newark Memorial where he assisted the girl's JV team. Other coaching experiences include working camps at the Fremont YMCA and Triple Threat Academy.

In addition to coaching, Mark has experience in strength and conditioning. He interned for TurnPro Sports and the Bishop O'Dowd football team after graduating from college. During the 2011 NFL season, Coach Mark was a strength and conditioning intern for the Oakland Raiders.

In his spare time, Coach Mark likes working out, attending Golden State Warriors games, and going to Disneyland.
