Ohlone Takes Down North Number One RPI Leader Foothill College in Over-time

February 3, 2007 - A team that has boldly believed that they were the best team in the Bay, Foothill College felt the sting of losing to a lower seeded Ohlone team, but a team who proved that they are well under-rated! Foothill College boasted the following statement before facing a determined and well prepared Lady Renegade squad: "Did you know that the Foothill College Women's Basketball team is ranked #1 in Northern California and #3 in State."

Using this boasting, The Fighting Lady Renegades did not know the word quit in the February 2nd clash of TWO of the Bay's Best teams! The fight extended 14 minutes without the team's leader, Danesha Wright, as she was hunted down by the officials who sought to get her out of the game. Although the referee managed to keep Danesha off the floor and force the game into an epic over-time battle, every Renegade who COMPETED in the game, refused to lose.

The victory was ALL about bragging rights! In this battle, like the last FIVE meetings, the Renegades earned all the PRIDE and ALL the Bay Area's bragging rights!

Good job Lady Renegades! You made FREMONT PROUD!
