2009-2010 Player Profiles - Ohlone College Renegades Women's Basketball

#00 Jasmine Rubin: Sophomore 5′9″ James Logan High School

A graduate from James Logan HS where she received MVP and Best Offensive player honors her senior year, Jasmine returns to Ohlone for her Sophomore year. Coming off an undefeated season her freshman year and taking a leadership role this year Jasmine has taken her game to another level to become an all around scoring threat.

#2 Ashley Valenzuela: Sophomore 5′7″ James Logan High School

Another graduate from James Logan HS where she was a 4 year varsity letter winner Ashley is returning for her Sophomore year. Ashley has a great understanding of the game of basketball at the point guard position and a high level work ethic. She looks to become the floor leader on the court this year to another successful season for the Renegades.

#3 Jeanelle Bonifacio: Freshman 5′5″ Independence High School

Graduating from Independence High School in 2009 where Jeanelle received many honors from her team including team MVP and West Valley Senior of the Year. Jeanelle joins the Renegades and brings an immediate impact with her relentless work ethic and team spirit.

#4 Amanda Encelan: Sophomore RS 5′6″ Moreau Catholic High School

A transfer from Chabot where she played last year Amanda will be red shirting this year.  She is a tough guard and a great defender who has the ability to disrupt her opponents game.  Amanda graduated from Moreau Catholic High School in 2008.

#10 Jazmine Duenas: Freshman 5′5″ Hayward High

A Hayward high graduate in 2009 where she received Athlete of the Year honors Jazmine may have been over looked in many areas.  She joins the Renegades in her freshman year and looks to make an instant impact with a lot of opportunity ahead of her.

#20 Ganeaya Rogers: Sophomore 5′8″ Milpitas High School

A graduate from Milpitas HS in 2007 where she led her team to two CCS championship games Ganeaya enters into her Sophomore year at Ohlone College.   Her first year at Ohlone she received All Coast Conference honors and helped lead her team into the play offs.  Ganeaya is one of the most explosive guards around who’s work ethic has allowed her to expand her game and give her more options to do what she would like on the court.  

#21 Krysta Lajander: Sophomore 5′5″ Irvington High School

Graduating from Irvington High School in 2007 Krysta enters into her second year with the Renegades.  Krysta has a very high level of work ethic that has given her the opportunity to better her game and contribute to the team this year. She works very hard on every angle to ensure the team’s success.

#22 Beatrice Conejero: Freshman 5′5″ Leigh High School

A Leigh High School graduate last year and one of the most sought after guards at our level Beatrice enters into her first year at Ohlone with high expectations.  She is a deceiving guard who sees the court and understands the game well and has high expectations for her teammates.  She looks to become a reliable player for her Ohlone team.

#24 Elise Spain: RS Freshman 5′10″ Newark Memorial High School

Graduating from Newark Memorial HS in 2008 where she was the Defensive Player of the Year for her conference, Elise is entering into her first year of competition with the Renegades.  Elise is a long and athletic post player who is hard to guard.  She looks to be the defensive stopper for the Renegades using her length to her advantage.

#25 Crystal McLaughlin: RS Freshman 5′8″ Redwood Christian High School

A graduate from Redwood Christian High School in 2008 where she was a 3 year varsity letter winner and was nominated to the 1st team all league her senior year.  Crystal enters into her first year at Ohlone and has created an instant impact with her aggressiveness and competitive nature.  She is a very strong guard who loves a challenge.

#30 Jennifer Torrecillas: Freshman 5′9″ Leigh High School

Graduating from Leigh High School in 2009 and entering into her freshman year  at Ohlone Jennifer is looking to continue her career in a new fashion with the Renegades.  She is a player who sees the court very well for a post player and has potential to become a solid player for the team this year.
