- STRICT Academic Expectations: Renegades MUST attain at least a 3.0 GPA. With unmatched academic guidance, our athletes easily meet this expectation. Our staff monitor academic progress bi-weekly. The staff regularly communicates with the athlete’s instructors to ensure attendance and progress is at an acceptable level.
- In-Class Expectations: Each athlete must sit in the first 2 rows of each class (in the middle section, not on the outer sides as well). Each athlete MUST rid herself of her life-line/cell phone during class. Each athlete may NOT to sit by a teammate during class time, as they seem to distract each other (and usually the rest of the class). Each athlete MUST identify herself to you. Each athlete must attend all classes and complete all assignments accordingly. Each athlete must arrive to class on time. Each athlete must stay for the entire duration of your class time. These expectations are sent to EACH athlete’s instructor. The instructors help our athletes meet these expectations.
- Coach to Player Ratio: The staff is actively involved in the socio-emotional support of each athlete. Each coach is assigned 3 athletes to over-see throughout the athlete’s tenure at Ohlone College. The ratio at on and off the court is 1-to3. We work harder than any other staff to serve our athletes.
- We OUT WORK EVERYONE! The worse that anyone can find to say about our program is “Ohlone is too hard! I do not want to work that hard!” Our staff has an emphasis on work ethic on and off the court! The team members THRIVE on the fact that we hold each other to the highest academic and athletic standards. When an athlete leaved Ohlone College, she is ready for success in every walk of life!
