Ohlone College welcomes Alyssa Hess as the new Head Coach for Women's Water Polo

Alyssa Hess comes to Ohlone College after graduating from Azusa Pacific University with her B.A. in Physical Education. Her love and passion for water polo began in the Ohlone Renegades water polo club under Joseph Martinez and Gene Kendall IV in 2001. She continued her career at Newark Memorial HS under the direction of Coach Gordon Crosby where Alyssa was a 4-time All-MVAL player for the Cougars. Alyssa returns to Ohlone College with hopes of creating a strong and successful program.

While attending Azusa Pacific, Alyssa played 4 years of NCAA Division II water polo. In her first year, Alyssa became the single game leading scorer and the single-season leading scorer in 2011.

During the spring 2015 semester, she will be working on a Master's degree in Kinesiology at Cal State East Bay where she will also play her final season of collegiate water polo for the Pioneers.
