Board of Trustees for the Ohlone Community College District

The Ohlone Community College District serves the cities of Fremont, Newark, and a portion of Union City, and includes all facilities and functions for Ohlone College. The District is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees who are selected by voters in local elections. The Board appoints the District President/Superintendent and establishes policies to assure the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of the programs and services and the financial stability of the District.

Board Meeting Schedule 2012

The Ohlone College Board of Trustees holds business meetings once a month on the second Wednesday, unless otherwise noted in the meeting schedule. Workshops and additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.

Board Meeting Locations

The Ohlone College Fremont campus is located at 43600 Mission Boulevard in Fremont, California, just south of the Washington Boulevard intersection and the Mission San Jose. Highway 880 exits to Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs, a few miles south of the College. Highway 680 exits to Mission Boulevard a few blocks north of the College and a few miles south as well. Board meetings may be held at other locations. These locations will be noted in the meeting schedule when the information is made available.

SSC, Room 7101, Fremont Campus

The Board Room is Room 7101 in the Student Services Center (SSC), on the first floor of Building 7, which is located between Buildings 6 and 8 on the Ohlone College campus in Fremont. Fremont Campus Map.

A parking permit is required to park on the Ohlone Fremont campus. A Daily Parking Permit (valid for day purchased) must be purchased for $2 by visitors and guests at a Daily Parking Permit vending machine located in Parking Lots C, D, H, K, M, and P on the Fremont campus. Ohlone College students may park using their valid Semester Parking Permit, and Ohlone College staff may park using their valid Staff Parking Permit. More parking information.

Newark Center, Room NC-1100, Newark Campus

Board meetings held at the Ohlone College Newark Center are in Room NC-1100, first floor, Wing 1 (exceptions will be noted in the meeting schedule). The Ohlone Newark Center for Health Sciences and Technology is located at 39399 Cherry Street, Newark, CA 94560. Directions. Newark Center Campus Map.

Streaming video archives of Board of Trustees meetings are available on demand as Windows Media Video (WMV) files (requirements). These video links are usually activated within 24-48 hours after the scheduled Board meeting. The videos are not captioned and a transcript is not available.

Televised Board Meetings

Board meetings are also available for viewing on ONTV Cable Channel 28 at :

• 7:00pm on Thursday (one day after the actual meeting), and
• 10:00am on Friday (second day after actual the meeting).

ONTV Cable Channel 28 is available to cable customers in the cities of Fremont, Newark, and portions of Union City.
