Trustee Greg Bonaccorsi Biography - Board of Trustees for the Ohlone Community College District

Greg Bonaccorsi was elected to the Ohlone Community College District Board of Trustees in November 2008.  Greg, a lifelong resident of Fremont, attended public schools in Fremont, starting with Maloney Elementary, then Centerville Junior High, and then Washington High where he graduated in the Class of 1981.  Greg graduated with a B.A. degree in Biological Science with a Minor in Mathematics from Humboldt State University (Arcata, California) in 1986.  He earned a Professional Clear Teaching Credential from Humboldt State University in 1987 as part of his post-graduate work in biology.  In 1988, Greg was hired by the Fremont Unified School District to teach science at Centerville Junior High.  In January 1989, Greg moved to William Hopkins Junior High where he continues to teach today.

Greg has been recognized as a Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and is nationally certified by the National Science Teachers Association.  Greg has served on the City of Fremont Redevelopment Agency Relocation Appeals Board, and the Financial Advisory Committee for the Fremont Unified School District.  In addition to his current responsibilities, Greg also serves as an elected director from California serving on the National Education Association Board of Directors.

Greg and his wife, Diane, were married in 1992 and have one daughter, Michaela, they adopted from China.  Greg is very eager to work on the Board on behalf of the community.
