FAIRVIEW—Dr. Margaret Morrisson, a retired community college and state university professor, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006.
Better known as "Maggie," Dr. Morrisson was the first speech communication faculty member at Ohlone College in Fremont.

Dr. Morrisson was praised, at the time of the lab renaming, for her kind nature and the lessons she taught in one of her courses about relationships.

Douglas Morrisson, himself a retired teacher, has served continuously since 1962.
In addition to her husband, Dr. Morrisson is survived by a son, Douglas Jr., and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Maggie Morrisson Speech Lab, care of the Ohlone College Foundation, 43600 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539-0390.
